Introductions

This is Rat Nose, a media publication for Rats and Rat sympathisers. By that, we don't mean we share pictures and compare Rat fur patterns.... gross, no. It's more about the concept. We discuss topics and share stories that make a connection, twitch that nose. Our writing aims to come from a ground level perspective, the lowest place to be. But what does it mean to be a Rat?

they'd rather stand on a chair than sit next to us.

the hired cat's stand guard to not let us in.

scavenging and stealing is a part of the world they made for us.

nothing stops us, not brick nor metal, we'll only make a hole.

we are many and we are close.

they either chase the bag or us, we chase that full feeling.

Okay, got the run down, but what about the website?

It's as simple as signing up if you found yourself with any connection or interest in our work, topics or style. put your email in and you'll only get an email when we post something new.

We work on Journalistic Articles, investigating burning questions or deep diving into obscure stories. We explore all things from politics to movies, mythology and lore, observations in our culture, fashion, video games (if particularly weighty), and movements in the art world.

We also post Creative Writing. Whether it's a short story, a poem, observational writing like our 'Cigarette Stories' line, or maybe one day a full novel. Creative writing is a passion of ours and we don't think that just because it doesn't lay out straight to the point facts, that it doesn't teach the reader anything.

We also aim to post other types of content, potentially not written content. But these are still early days of Rat Nose, so please remain in anticipation.

Community

I think you can tell we Rats keep community in mind. As we grow we will announce plans of ways that you guys can participate and a place for the Rat Swarm to gather n chat n stuff x

Start your own thing

If you don't think you're a Rat, or you do but you think you wanna Rat somewhere else we do encourage you to find or make your own place to feel safe to express your honest self. Rock out. Relax. Put your hard work in to self expression and I can promise you a happy head and a little purpose.
